Every year, the Canadian tourism and investment consultancy Resonance Consultancy publishes a report on the best cities worldwide. This report ranks cities with a metropolitan population of 1 million or more based on an overall score that considers livability (including factors like rent, the number of highly rated sights and parks), lovability (such as nightlife, shopping, and Tripadvisor reviews), and prosperity (including metrics like the number of Fortune 500 companies and GDP per capita).

In the 2024 global list, Singapore secured the fifth position. In 2025, Singapore is the first APAC city to snag the crown. This thriving regional powerhouse ranked #1 for GDP per capita and #2 for Google Trends while excelling in shopping and dining. This aligns perfectly with what we know about the city, famous for its luxurious shopping destinations like Marina Bay Sands, Michelin-starred restaurants, award-winning bars, and numerous hawker centers.
